Peter Vician, Director

Mr. Vician has over 40 years of experience living and working in the Northwest Territories, Canada. Mr. Vician began working in the NWT in 1981 with the Government of the Northwest Territories and held several GNWT positions over three and a half decades including key executive postings as Deputy Minister for several departments over a 17-year period.

Mr. Vician holds a Bachelor of Civil Engineering and Management degree from McMaster University and is a Professional Engineer registered with NAPEG. He is a current executive member and Past President of the Yellowknife Rotary Club, past Rotary Area Governor as well as a board member of the Stephens Hope Foundation building schools in Mozambique, Africa. 

Mr. Vician’ activity as an independent consultant since 2016 has been working with NWT based extractive resource companies, federal, territorial and community governments. Mr. Vician is the Chair of the Yellowknife Airport, Economic Advisory Committee and serves on the Edmonton International Airport Business Advisory Committee. Mr. Vician also serves on the NWT Judicial Remuneration Commission.
